The College Readiness Consortium is excited to welcome middle school students (grades 6-8) to visit the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus! The middle school campus visits will serve as an introduction to postsecondary education and students will visit key locations on the Minneapolis campus. The group visits are designed for groups of up to 30 students who will be on campus as part of a school field trip or community organization event. Those with older students can refer to the admissions page for campus group visits.
The campus visit is more than just a tour of campus. Your visit will be hands-on and activity-based. It will begin with an introduction of the University of Minnesota. Students will then dive into an activity on college and what to look for during college visits. When your group comes to visit campus there may be an opportunity to sample a college class and meet a panel of college students. Each group visit will be 2 hours.
To request a campus visit, please fill out the form below at least 2 months in advance and include multiple dates that will work for your group. Our staff will then follow up and confirm a date. Middle school campus visits are only offered Wednesdays and Fridays in two time blocks: 10AM - 12PM and 1PM - 3PM.
